This 60-page preschool workbook is best used as a menu of short activities, not as a book that a young child must finish in order. Choose pages that match your child’s current interest and combine them with play, stories, conversation and movement.

A gentle preschool routine

• Begin with a familiar page so your child starts with confidence.
• Model one example, then let your child try without completing the work for them.
• Use crayons, counters, playdough or real objects when pencil work is not the best fit.
• Finish after one or two pages and return on another day.

Skills to notice while you work

Look for growing control when tracing, recognising familiar letters and numbers, matching pictures, following a simple direction and explaining a choice. These small signs are more useful than counting completed pages.

If an activity is difficult, simplify it. Cover part of the page, offer two choices or complete the first item together. Preschool practice should build readiness and confidence, not recreate a long school lesson at home.

Parent tip: A child of this age learns through repetition. Reusing a favourite page or repeating the same idea with toys is productive learning, not going backwards.
