Hey guys, I hope you all are doing great. Finally, I have created a learning pack for one of the most requested topics ‘Planets’. Ever since I was sharing stories in which Chia was using the Planet flashcards, I got many requests to make it available for download.

So, I created this beginner’s planet learning pack which includes everything that you need to introduce planets to your kids. In this pack, there are eleven flashcards, three sheets with more information about space. I have also included some colouring pages and worksheets to practice planet names.

I used all this material to teach Chia about planets and I hope it will be helpful for your kids too. Please watch the video below to know more about this learning pack. Please watch the video below for more details.

  1. Download your printable PDF after checkout
  2. Take out colour prints (portrait mode)
  3. Laminate them and cut out the flashcards

I designed this pack as a gentle first introduction to space. The flashcards give children something clear to hold and discuss, while the information sheets, colouring pages and name activities help them return to the same ideas in different ways.

Explore the solar system together

  • Place the planet cards in order from the Sun and rebuild the sequence on another day.
  • Group planets by what your child notices—colour, size, rings or rocky and gas planets.
  • Choose one planet as the “planet of the day” and learn two reliable facts about it.
  • Use the cards as prompts for a space story, model or labelled drawing.

How to use the pack without overload

Begin with the Sun, Earth and one or two neighbouring planets. Add more cards only when your child can talk confidently about the current set. The aim is curiosity, not memorising every fact in one session.

After watching the video, invite your child to teach one fact back to you. Explaining the idea in their own words is a useful check that they understood it.

Parent tip: Laminate the flashcards only if you expect frequent use. The activity sheets can be printed normally, and the colouring pages are a good quiet follow-up after a discussion.
