Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing well. This is the first post of our ” Learn Hindi with Dhiyara” series where I’ll be sharing Dhiyara’s Hindi learning journey with you all. I’ve been looking for online Hindi resources for quite some time as we’re living in Canada and there are not many options available. I did find few resources on Amazon but honestly I didn’t find those interactive enough. So I decided to create Hindi resources by myself. I’ve been working on these “हिंदी स्वर व्यंजन” flashcards and few other resources for quite some time and am happy to share these flashcards with you all. I hope these resources will help parents specially who are living outside India and want to teach Hindi to their kids. I’ll be sharing more resources as we go.

Stay Safe Everyone!
I created these Hindi cards while teaching Dhiyara outside India, where suitable beginner resources were not always easy to find. The cards can help children connect the visual form of each letter with its spoken sound and a growing bank of familiar Hindi words.
A practical स्वर and व्यंजन routine
- Introduce a small group of letters and say each sound naturally.
- Trace the shape with a finger before asking for pencil writing.
- Think of a familiar word that uses the sound and say it in a short sentence.
- Mix known cards and ask your child to sort स्वर and व्यंजन when ready.
Make Hindi part of everyday life
Use the cards alongside songs, family conversations and Hindi storybooks. Recognition becomes stronger when the same sound appears in more than one setting.
If your child is bilingual, allow thinking time and avoid treating an English response as failure. Repeat the Hindi word, use it naturally and invite them to try again without pressure.
Parent tip: Keep the current set visible for a few days and add new cards gradually. Confident recall of a small group is a better foundation than rushing through the entire alphabet.
